Broadway musicals have seen a lot of changes these days. But one thing stays the same, these theater productions generally profit a billion worth of sale each year and increasingly gaining more audience margin as well. There are various engaging Broadway shows out there and you can only hope that Spider-Man’s Turn Off the Dark musical is included in the opening lineup this year. For several years, this particular production is generally hounded with controversy, from cast changes to money problems.
Spiderman is a million dollar Broadway show that has been deemed the most high-priced of all theater production to date. Apart from money issues, it also had troubles with some of its performers. It’s safety concerns involving one cast member who fell and broke his spine and skull during a performance and another who suffered from a concussion have been the one of its major setbacks. Other performers also revealed several hand and feet fractures which clearly calls for further safety adjustments. The show’s opening has been delayed on more than one occasion and the majority of critics say that the entire tunes or music appear inconsistent and forgettable. Even with the huge budget, the production staff still struggled to have performers fly and fight safely up in the air.
However, it’s not all a big mess for the great Spiderman as the production team offers more character quality and clear storyline or narrative today. The flying sequences as part of the musical are sharper and competently done than before. Although Spiderman on Broadway has not had similar good results as other current and popular shows, it’s still a musical that you can check out and watch upfront, either with enjoyment or uneasiness. Clearly, this is one musical that shall be continually fine-tuned to satisfy people, fans and critics alike.
